The Consorci has a long career in the service of the country. Since its creation
in 1916, it has developed projects that have acted as a driving force behind the
economic development of Barcelona and Catalonia. In each cycle of history, it has
always managed to find initiatives which were pioneering for its time.
Its business ethos reflects a great vitality and dynamism along with a balance between
innovative projects and consolidated projects of great economic weight; more than
90 years in the city's service has given it a great deal of experience and flexibility
in management.
The Institution maintains a solid asset base and the profits made are always reinvested
in projects for the city of Barcelona. It has more than 12 million square metres
of industrial land in different phases of development, focusing its main activity
on the development of leading projects in the real estate, logistics and technological
areas, all very important for the country’s economy.
Within the real estate activity, it develops and manages industrial, commercial
and service infrastructures: logistics areas, shopping centres, à la carte technological
warehouses, industrial areas, office buildings, business complexes, service centres,
intelligent parks for R&D. The Consortium has stated its objective of improving
the welfare and quality of life of its citizens, and has entered a new strategic
line of activity: residential development, with projects to help create more social
housing and promote urban regeneration.
In recent years, it has also developed know-how in fairs that enables it to organise
the main exhibitions in the area of logistics, real estate and aeronautics in the
country and become an international reference point.
The Consorci, attentive to the needs of the business sector, promotes the urban
and business developments required to overcome the challenges it faces in this sense
in the industrial, business and social structure of Catalonia. It develops the largest,
most innovative projects. Pioneering projects, capable of attracting emerging sectors
